Measure the length of the dogs back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Measure around the neck and chest as shown in the diagram. The chest width is the most important measurement if all 4 do not match.

If the measurement is between sizes, then we recommend going one size up. For thinner long bodied breeds like dachshunds, greyhounds, chinese crested, etc. we recommend going one size down.

If your dog has a thick coat, a stout build or is overweight, we recommend going up at least one size for a proper fit. Most of our apparel is 100% cotton and is generally finely ribbed for a form fitting but stretchy to accomodate most body shapes.
